Job Description BAE Combat Vehicles is seeking an experienced Supply Chain problem solver for the role of Program Liaison Deputy in our Phoenix, AZ facility. This position reports to the Supply Chain Site Manager and/or Program Liaison and is responsible for serving as a Supply Chain point of contact for Program Management, was well as driving Program material schedule and budget.
Analyzes manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and other material requirements based on needs of assembly demands, replenishments, substitute parts/materials, production set-ups, and engineering changes. Resolves budget, schedule, material requirement or business system problems with cross-functional representatives.
Requires high levels of interaction with both suppliers and all internal functions (Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, Shipping & Receiving, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Accounting, Finance, and Program Management).
- Ensures, at all times, that Quality Material is delivered on-time and within budget to support Programs and Production Operations.
- Attends Operations and Program meetings and serves as a Supply Chain point-of-contact and resolution for material issues.
- Monitors Program Bill of Materials and ensures demand released as per Program Liaison designed schedule. Collaborates with Commodity Managers as necessary to expedite placement of Purchase Orders supporting Program schedule.
- Monitors material delivery status and serves as escalation “urgent expedite” resource for parts with potential to impact the Program production schedule.
- Works with the Program Liaison to analyze spend and procurement actions and ensure the program remains within its budgeted proposal for material spend.
- Collaborates daily with other internal BAE functions to drive resolution of issues preventing production schedule adherence.
- Develops solid understanding of both internal BAE and supplier manufacturing processes for key parts and components.
- Updates ERP system to show accurate expected delivery dates from suppliers and accurate part schedule need dates.
- Supports Program Liaison and Proposals Team in establishing material pricing and budget, as well as analyzing risk and obsolescence, during the proposal phase of future potential programs. Assists in creating presentation packs.
- Maintains records, charts, graphs, logs, and progress reports as directed.
- Works in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR and DFAR) and company policies.
- Supports the Commodity Purchasing and Proposal groups as required, including placement of material orders during high capacity times.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years experience in expediting, supplier development, supply chain, or project management.
- Must be capable of understanding the interactions between different functions, driving success across a matrix organization
- Must exhibit high level of motivation, organization, attention to detail, and an energetic approach to job duties and requirements.
- Must be technically knowledgeable and capable of grasping detailed concepts.
- Must be a self-starter and have excellent leadership skills.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and through effective writing.
- Strong MS Office skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in expediting
- Lean Six Sigma certification is not required but willingness to earn is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Understanding of DOD and/or aerospace procurement, ITAR, FAR, DFAR, TINA and other government regulations
- Prior experience with Oracle
- A “whatever it takes” attitude toward resolving problems and meeting schedule
