• Proactively propose solutions to ensure business continuity.
• Understand and analyze user and system requirements as input for the SW development.
• Build and maintain scalable and secure SW solutions for next-generation software-defined networks.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers and project stakeholders to deliver SW products with quality, on time and in line with a defined scope.
• Deliver maintainable, robust and testable code.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with other developers and network engineers across the business.
• Support the production of SW documentation as needed.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in software engineering and development.
• Technical knowledge of network components (e.g. routers & switches) and how they operate.
• Software development skills in Matlab, Python, C++, or similar
• Experience in infrastructure automation and scripting using tools such as Ansible
• Proficient with software development tools such as git, DevOps frameworks such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of apps deployment using containers, Docker & Kubernetes
• Proficient communication skills in English

Preferences

• Master or Bachelor Degree in engineering, Information Technology or a related field of study or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with cloud services and technologies – IaaS, PaaS, AWS & Google Cloud
• Experience designing and developing for continuous integration & delivery environments (CI/CD)
• Understanding of IPv4/v6 routing and switching, advanced network communication protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GRE, VxLAN, EVPN, IPSec, VPN, Multicast
