Associate Product Manager

Work you’ll do
As an Associate Product Manager, you will act as a central member of our team, supporting the Senior Product Manager, Engineers, Engineering leads, and Senior Leadership in driving the rapid growth of our big data and machine learning product startup inside of Deloitte. Excellent candidates will have strengths across product development, the software development life cycles, business and markets, technology, design, team dynamics, and operations, leading to the rapid creation of products that users love and that grow our business. Great communication, attention to detail, ability to zoom in and out on difficult challenges and incredible decomposition of complex initiatives are key qualities of great candidates.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
· Understanding our users, the market, and their combined needs. Iterating to create product and feature specs that drive high-value software development. Translating those needs into user stories, storyboards, and development tasks.
· Bridging the gaps between business needs and engineering to bring to life novel ways of generating analytic value for enterprise clients across government and commercial spaces.
· Communicating with stakeholders and customers to creatively design features based on those conversations. Influencing internal and external stakeholders across a variety of topics to drive the success of the platform.
· Driving the cadence of specific features or user research challenges
· Working with Sales & Marketing to respond to proposals and support other market-facing efforts.
· Filling in wherever needed: design, testing, data creation, modeling, technical writing, proposal writing, business case creation, etc.
· Providing operational support to the product including managing finances, contracts, and partner relationships.

The Analytics & Cognitive team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.
Analytics & Cognitive will work with our clients to:
• Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms
• Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions
• Drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements
Qualifications
Required Skills:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or business-related field
• 5+ years of professional experience
• 5+ years of digital product management experience
• 5+ years of SDLC Scrum Process experience
• 4+ years of demonstrated Agile design and delivery experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with both technical and functional resources
• Affinity for learning new technology and create problem solving with it
• Well organized and able to work independently
• Affinity for learning new programming languages, tools, and applications
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
