This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a diverse, global team in which everyone collaborates to achieve a common goal of improving the digital employee experience. We are looking for a user experience specialist, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment and who has applied key user experience principles in an IT enterprise environment.

As a User Experience Designer in IT, you will evaluate processes and workflows to identify areas for optimization. You will be part of multiple transformational initiatives, partnering with IT engineers and project managers to advocate on behalf of all employees.

In this job you will:

· Collaborate with the project implementation team to ensure an efficient employee journey

· Conduct user testing to identify problems and areas for improvement within the employee experience

· Develop and refine user journey maps and personas to be leveraged by IT project teams

In the end, the outcome is: help people, connect lives, and change the world – that’s what we do.

Who You'll Work With

The IT User Experience Designer is responsible for identifying user pain points, building an optimal workflow to address those pain points and partnering with the engineering project team to ensure those requirements are implemented. Additionally, the designer will apply industry standards and principles to ensure the digital employee experience is simple and relevant.

You will be working with a global team of IT engineers, project managers, analysts and service managers to advocate on behalf of the end user to ensure all workflows are optimized. You will have the opportunity to juggle in multiple projects at a time and interact with a diverse group of peers – all working towards a common goal to improve the employee experience.

Who You Are

You will bring:

· 5+ years of professional experience in user experience

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to think creatively to reimagine processes that will deliver the best user experience

· Create a design strategy to optimize workflows

· Proficient in industry standard design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, Axure and Invision

· Bachelor’s degree in product management, business administration, engineering or related degree

Desired Skills

· Strong presentation skills to convey concepts to clients, leadership and design peers

· Ability to adjust design concepts as consumer and market needs change

Why Cisco

#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference. Here’s how we do it.

We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we’re “old” (30 years strong!) and only about hardware, but we’re also a software company. And a security company. A blockchain company. An AI/Machine Learning company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do – you can’t put us in a box!

But “Digital Transformation” is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)

Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, we give our egos a break and we give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, we take bold steps, and we take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a commitment to equality for all, there is no moving forward.

So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool.
