Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Product Designer 2 to our location in Beaverton, OR.

We are seeking a Product Designer 2 who will provide UI/UX design expertise as a part of an agile software development and delivery team. This includes working directly with customers, business stakeholders and developers to build highly-functional, robust, web-based applications. A UI/UX Product Designer works with minimum supervision, stays up-to-date on user paradigms and trends, recommends solutions and designs, and integrates new ideas as incremental steps into an existing system. Success in this position requires UI and UX design experience in complex web-based systems.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform user research to understand and assess users needs.
  • Create and maintain design systems.
  • Capture user workflows, constraints and needs in the form of personas and journey maps.
  • Design user workflows through both low and high-fidelity mock-ups.
  • Test user workflows to validate and iterate design paradigms.
  • Design products based on user research.
  • Develop and reinforce quality design methods within the team (reuse, consistency, etc.).

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of demonstrated experience in creative product design OR;
  • Associate's Degree Plus 4 years of demonstrated experience in creative product design OR 6 years of demonstrated experience in creative design.
