Job Description

Job Purpose

The SAP Materials Analyst’s primary responsibility is to review and update the status of material number records in SAP that are used to manage our products. As part of a group functionally organized under Research and Development, you will work within SAP to find the information needed to allow you to assess and then update the status of the material number.

This is role is part of a project team that will complete this work in one year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use work instructions and corporate software tools to find information needed for analysis and data entry
  • Review and apply information found with accuracy and adherence to requirements
  • Interact regularly with cross functional colleagues across all divisions of Boston Scientific
  • Work independently and with little supervisory work direction to obtain and enter necessary information
  • Consistently create and maintain highly accurate product data at all times. The material information created is used globally, so high quality work is of utmost importance.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal team members about the status of assigned activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical or Vocational College certificate required with 1-2 years previous work experience
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts) and Office software tools
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English communications, including phone calls and drafting e-mails
  • Detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with databases and data management
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree, or advanced student in a scientific or engineering discipline with 0-1 years previous work experience
  • Work experience with SAP
  • Knowledge of medical device industry or products
  • Previous experience in a regulated industry
  • Familiarity with Back-Office roles within multinational companies
  • Relevant experience as user of Quality Systems and ERPs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Highly analytical mindset
  • Proactive attitude towards situations of uncertainty
