Job Summary
The Globalization team at NetApp (GPSO) is looking for a Globalization Systems Architect to join one of the best globalization teams in the world. The experienced individual will work on owning technical globalization solutions mainly based on SDL technology. This position collaborates with marketing, support, e-learning, globalization, and product teams. She or he oversees workflow and mechanism solutions from authoring to launch. The individual will report to the Head of Localization at NetApp.
Essential Functions
Best architecture for Day 1 global launches:
- Understand NetApp’s globalization architecture
- Understand upcoming globalization mechanisms from participating vendors
- Ability to disintermediate workflows and pinpoint improvements
- Interface with external vendors to drive internal and external architectural roadmap requirements
- Ensure vendor processes, systems, and personnel are prepared to meet project deliverables
- Map future use cases, test them, and have them ready for launches
- Use knowledge of internal business requirements and industry trends to evaluate for improvements
- Recommend changes, and in collaboration with key stakeholders, oversee these changes to drive continuous improvement across the globalization process
- Facilitate necessary training when implementing new tools and/or processes

- Ability to prove previous experience with examples
- Excellent knowledge of localization and globalization systems, processes and operations planning. Experience working with SDL family of products including Tridion Sites, TMS, Be Global.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Linguistics, Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex projects. The interview process will discuss in-depth implementations.
- The individual does need to work and accommodate US West Coast hours.
