PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The global economy has been rapidly evolving from enterprise-centric to network-centric. No enterprise does business alone today. Suppliers, service providers, contract manufacturers, logistics pros – companies today rely heavily on their connections to their extended ecosystem to operate effectively. They need an intelligent and open network that delivers the enhanced visibility, greater efficiency and improved collaboration to achieve supply chain resilience and thrive in the face of disruption.

SAP already "owns" the largest procurement network in the world (Ariba Network) and SAP’s global operations and footprint in large enterprises allow us to leverage a network effect with our massive installed base. We will win with our unified strategy, instead of siloed networks, a “best-of-suite” approach – a “network-of-networks” that includes partners, and brings together existing best of breed solutions like Asset Intelligence Network, Logistics Business Network and Ariba Networks into a multi-enterprise unified business network. Thus we will start to build an SAP Business Network unit that will combine related elements of our customers’ procure to supply chain workflow. The unit will be incubated under the newly announced Intelligent Spend and Business Network L1 organization.

More specifically, our team is responsible for building the common foundational network platform for SAP Business Network. Our vision is to provide common master data foundation and frictionless network onboarding experiences to our customer and scale the business network.

We are looking for software engineers with a strong Java development background in the cloud native environment to help us build micro services application in the master data and network onboarding collaboration applications. you will be involved from designing, coding, testing, quality assurance and operating the complex product features in massive customer production environment.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a developer associate you will be responsible for:

• Design and develop micro-service applications in SAP Cloud Platform which will be used by real users.
• Collaborate and innovate with product owner, architects and other engineering teams to develop and deliver qualified applications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design business network data models
• Collaborate with development teams distributed in different locations including internationally.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Good team player
• University degree in Software Engineering/Computer Sciences/Information System/Management Science or related field
• Knowledge of Java is a required or having other server-side programming skills
• Familiar with Spring MVC/Spring Boot, JPA or other ORM framework
• Experience in using versioning control system git, tools like eclipse, IntelliJ or Postman.
• Communication skills that include the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Ability to work independently
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Confident communication in English is an a plus (written and spoken)
• Knowledge with security in cloud environment is a plus
• Skills of SQL is a plus

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Preferred Working Experience less than 3 years
