Payroll Specialist

We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Payroll Specialist . Reporting to the Payroll Manager, and working closely with the Payroll Specialist Lead- the ideal candidate will be responsible for the full payroll cycle, including processing the company’s payroll and all other payroll/compensation related responsibilities. Both a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail skills are crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare bi-weekly payroll with ADP Workforce Now system
• Ensure that all salaries/wages and hourly hours are paid accurately and in accordance with the laws in a timely fashion
• Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll journal entries as required
• Address teammates payroll inquiries
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure payroll records are accurate and up to date
• Creation of payroll adhoc reports as required
• Prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain employee confidence by keeping information confidential
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous payroll experience with ADP -minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Bilingualism considered an asset
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate and positive team attitude
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with exceptional organizational skills in a fast paced environment
• Good knowledge of accounting
• Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
• Strong problem resolution skills and initiative
• Knowledge of French
• Good command of English language is required
