As a Senior IG Community Support Manager working on the Primary Immunodeficiency (PI) team, you will be empowered to impact and support community advocacy initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission and a typical day will include:
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The Senior Ig Community Support Manager is someone who has proficient experience with primary
immunodeficiency (PI) and has familiarity with immunoglobulin (Ig) treatment.
The Sr IgCST Manager provides unbranded, disease state education, and peer to peer support to people
living with Primary Immunodeficiency enrolled in MyIgSource while being mindful of legal and
regulatory constraints during every interaction.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Live Patient Program Facilitation:
• Present and facilitate, both in person and virtually multiple unbranded educational PI Support
Meetings, remaining compliant while educating patient and caregiver.
• Collaborates to identify and create new presentations/agendas for future programs.
• Cohost PI Support Meeting to educate attendees and drive MyIgSource
engagement/enrollment.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to PI Community Members while staying 100% within all
legal, regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Patient Education & Peer to Peer Support:
• Makes outgoing and handles incoming calls via the toll-free MyIgSource phone line.
• Provides unbranded disease state information, education, and resources about PI, unbranded
IG treatment, plasma, self-advocacy, MyIgSource, and Takeda programs.
• Enrolls patients/caregivers in MyIgSource and obtains opt-in; provides a positive experience for
all callers documenting all interactions appropriately.
• Handles or appropriately triages incoming calls from HCPs as appropriate.
Community Outreach:
• Handles or appropriately triages incoming calls from HCPs.
• Travel to/attend approved local, regional, and national patient events, trade shows, attend
relevant HCP events, share experience/speak at events to educate on PI, the need for peer to
peer support, and the educational resources offered by Takeda.
• Attends National walks, local education days to facilitate understanding of MyIgSource, and Ig
Community Support at Takeda
• Coaches Advocate I & II at live patient meetings to assist with management of live patient
programs with high attendance.
• Manages escalated calls from Patients and caregivers
• Manages projects for unbranded program recruitment
Internal PI Education:
• Participate in videos, brochures, photos, etc. sharing their personal experience with PI and
MyIgSource to be shared internally and externally in multiple medias.
• Serve as an advisor to Takeda Ig business on the patient, HCP, and PI disease state.
• Work cross functionally with marketing team to assist in the development of key unbranded
tactics/messaging for PI Community
• Educate internal audiences on PI patient experience and patient journey, MyIgSource, and all
MyIgSource educational tools and resources.
• Shares personal story, complying with Takeda policies and SOPs and Legal, Regulatory, and
Ethics & Compliance guidance.
Manager:
• Responsible for coaching, training, and leading up to 4 field based direct reports
• Measure and report performance objectives and goals
• Establish development plans and employee retention strategies to align with Takeda cultural
values and promote team and PDT culture.
• Spends 1:1 time to coach and develop team members
• Assist in the development of and implement training documentation/protocols as necessary to
ensure operational excellence.
• Ensure each Advocate maintains up-to-date on all compliance and training in accordance to
Takeda policy.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s (strongly preferred)
• 3-5 years customer service/sales experience in a professional setting, or teaching experience
(required if no degree)
• Patient Advocacy, health care and/or experience in a regulated industry is preferred
• Significant education or experience with primary immunodeficiency (PI) strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and English language oral skills are essential
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or other healthcare
industries and relevant laws and regulations
• Excellent decision-making ability and strong analytical skills
• Ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned duties
• Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work
• Basic computer and internet skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as
Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Have extensive understanding of primary immunodeficiency
• Ability to explain complicated subjects in an easy-to-understand manner

Ability to travel 40%, including weekends
