Closing date for applications: 20 November 2020 Lime Technology Ltd is a smart-mobility provider that offers cities an array of mobility products including Lime-E e-assist bicycles and Lime-S electric scooters. Lime aims to revolutionize mobility in cities and campuses by empowering residents with cleaner, more efficient, and affordable transportation options that improve urban sustainability. The WEU-ROW Supply team ensures and assists all markets in obtaining efficient and effective operations through partnering with Local Operations and Product Team. The team leads the strategy for more efficient operations in all markets and facilitates the implementation of key supply projects that have high impact to the PL bottomline, and daily processes for the Local Operations. This would include fleet optimization, supply allocation, performance metrics for ground operations and tools to enhance visibility and execute world-class practices. This role will partner with our Local Operations and Regional teams to identify and implement the best product solutions for the specific needs of our markets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with General Managers and Operations Manager for each market to implement and test new internal tools and processes, evaluating their success prior to wider rollouts
- Research clients’ needs and negotiate timescales, costs and resources
- Gather insights and advocate for feature enhancements and/or new Operations products that will drive efficiency at the Local Operations level
- Manage and optimize P&L bottomline structures for labor, real estate, depreciation and assets procurement
- Draws up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of the project
- Work as a bridge between the central teams and the local teams. Forecast, execute, and exceed goals on supply allocation and costs alignments across Western Europe and Asia, Australia and New Zealand
- Perform demand planning and goods allocation for more than 20 markets across the globe
- Ensure that each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards
- Utilize product knowledge to serve as the team's subject matter expert for all the verticals within Supply and also warehouse operations
- Develop best practices and standards for supply operations across our global footprint
- Maintain regular communications with core groups from all throughout Lime to ensure visibility across the organisation
- Reports regularly on progress to the client or to senior managers.
- Triage operations bugs and escalate them through the appropriate channels
Skills and Qualifications Required
- +7 years of experience in warehouse operations and supply chain management. Preferably with a combination of consulting and startup experience
- Experience leading projects for procurement, logistics and maintenance practices
- Have over one year experience in the micro mobility sector
- Strong negotiation with contractors experience
- At least two languages by either combining English, Spanish or French
- Ability to translate business priorities set at the RGM/GM level into operational actions
- Mind for numbers, willingness to learn highly recommended
- Some SQL experience would be an advantage
- Great empathy - the local markets are our clients, we need to understand them to best serve them
- Ability to work cross functionally with all company departments: Public Affairs, Legal, Product, etc.
- Willingness and experience of working in a multicultural environment with rapidly changing context
