Job Description:

The Restaurant platform is the heart of OpenTable and connects restaurants to our network of over 26 million diners. The OpenTable for Restaurants iOS application plays a key role in facilitating hosts, general managers, and owners in planning shifts, managing tables, and growing their business. As a team lead, you’ll employ a blend of soft and technical skills, working closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to rapidly iterate and deliver value to OpenTable's restaurant customers. You will be responsible for the team, setting technical direction, collaborating with teammates, guiding career paths, and providing constructive feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with other specialists including engineers, product managers, and designers to rapidly iterate on product requirements and UX/UI designs, evaluate scope, understand and clearly communicate trade-offs, and build consensus on technical direction.
• Promote quality as a first principle by helping us evolve our unit and regression testing practice, facilitate architecture and code reviews, and enhance our continuous integration/continuous delivery capability.
• Assess user impact and provide timely responses to support requests and incidents.
• Lead nimble, focused development teams of three to four engineers.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

Requirements:

• Experience with roadmapping, capacity planning and backlog grooming activities.
• Comfortable with rapid iteration, leading small teams and delivering incremental value to customers.
• Experience deploying native iOS applications and features to production.
• Expertise with Swift and Objective-C.
• Experience evaluating and working with open source toolkits and frameworks.
• Familiarity with (and proficiency in two or more of): UIKit, CoreData, Networking, Instruments, SOLID, MVVM, FRP
