At OpenTable CRM we are building the next generation Guest Management service. The construction of this new service will unlock velocity and reduce complexity across the entire OT Engineering organization. We need a high impact player to join us in this effort.

What kind of Senior Engineer are we looking for? Our ideal player has a proven track record of delivering high quality software in fast paced environments. We are looking for a seasoned veteran with experience building features/services in strongly typed languages (C#, Java, etc). Who is OpenTable CRM? We're a small team currently scaling the OpenTable CRM product to ~30x June 2020 user base. This scaling presents us with fun and challenging problems to solve. You'll jump right in and deliver major features with an eye towards the future and you'll get to make major architectural decisions along the way. We use Ruby on Rails and React for the client-facing stuff, C#/.NET for some heavy data processing, and Java for our next generation Guest Management service. We've also used the serverless framework for external APIs, Apache Spark for analytics, and just about every AWS service you can imagine. We work hard and write a lot of code during our regular work day, but we know how to unplug at the end of the day. We’re more passionate about people who own their work and deliver consistently (and who recognize the value in testing those delivered features) than we are on the number of hours you put in.

Responsibilities
- Feature planning, scoping, and delivery
- Code review
- Bug resolution
- Software architecture
- Exception/log monitoring and problem resolution
- Continuous product & process remediation / improvement
- Facilitation of personal & team member professional growth
- Software/tooling management
- Infrastructure and operations management

Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer
- 3+ years developing services in a strongly typed language (or a serious desire to do so)
- Strong data modeling and SQL skills
- Proven product delivery track record
- Proven product and process improvement track record
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, and plan with all members of the team
- Ability to plan and scope large features
- Ability to lead meetings

Preferred Skills
- C#/.Net
- Java
- Ruby (we use Rails)
- JavaScript (we use React)
- Infrastructure experience with a major cloud provider (we use AWS)
- Automated testing
