Job Description

Reflektive is looking for an engineering leader who is driven, passionate and committed to performance, results and operational excellence. We are looking for someone who knows how to build, grow and coach a world-class global engineering team. As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible and accountable for the successful development and launch of key Reflektive products in alignment with long-term product roadmap. Additionally, you will bring a significant level of experienced perspective and intellectual savvy, while demonstrating exceptional collaboration skills when partnering with key individuals in Product Management, UX, other business teams and across Engineering.

As Director of Engineering you will be responsible for :

    • Leading the Engineering team to deliver to the product roadmap, with an emphasis on Agile web development processes, focusing on achieving high-quality results in an aggressive, faster-to-market manner
    • Developing the engineering team by providing coaching, mentoring and management of team members, challenging individuals for peak performance and developing a logical career path for the department
    • Delegating, empowering and holding direct reports accountable for meeting quarterly objectives
    • Building and delivering the critical products and technologies for Reflektive with the right level of quality
    • Adjusting methodologies as necessary; anticipate technology changes and take steps to ensure development stays ahead or on track of the product roadmap
    • Refining engineering processes, including organizational communication, Agile web development, testing, and release methodologies

Desired Skills and Experience

    • 12+ years of hands-on software Engineering experience in a technology-focused company with 4+ years of Engineering leadership experience
    • Degree in Computer Science (or similar); an advanced (technical or business) degree is helpful but not essential
    • Strong expertise in SaaS, Systems Architecture and Cloud Computing and Storage Platforms. Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices and change management in SaaS domain
    • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in internet-related technologies - must have experience in agile based software development
    • Web-based front-end and back-end systems, including expertise in Java, Python, PHP or Ruby; UI frameworks like React, AngularJS and Web 2.0 browser technologies including HTML5, and web-based APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.)
    • Software Engineering processes such as Scrum, Automated Testing, Continuous Integration and Deployment, Release Management, Data Versioning, and Migration
    • Experience recruiting and leading a fast-growing Engineering Team comprising of both technology and management resources, ideally in a startup to mid-stage environment
    • Demonstrated experience managing a global Engineering team and experience with global engineering teams with clarity of thought for how to operate globally
    • Strong work ethic and lead by example style
    • Proven experience and results as an accomplished technology leader including manageability, scalability, and security.
    • Excellent communication skills at all levels and proven ability to articulate customer and technical requirements with all stakeholders
