Description

This is an opportunity to join Orpheus Medical, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intuitive, which was recently acquired to accelerate the development of our integrated digital communications platform for hospitals. Orpheus provides technology to enable easier capturing, archiving, live streaming and sharing of clinical video and other data around diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, with a complete integration with electronic medical records (EMR) and picture archival and communications (PACS) systems. The Orpheus Medical solution is deployed in hospitals in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Primary Function of Position:

The Business Development & Marketing Manager will develop, lead and implement corporate marketing strategies and programs to create sales opportunities that help drive sales of the Orpheus Solution in the North American market.

This position will be responsible for development and coordination of various strategic and tactical clinical marketing initiatives. The individual will develop and scale best-in-class marketing assets, programs and standards to promote the value of Orpheus to physicians across core procedure verticals and portfolio of products.
The individual will be expected to establish strong relationships with external physicians, their care teams and hospital enterprise and imaging IT personnel, as well as with internal Orpheus stakeholders including sales, training, product management teams.
The individual will be expected to operate in a fast-paced environment as a technical and clinical expert leading programs, tool creation and marketing strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Marketing Tools
    • Develop best-in-class technical and clinical marketing assets, programs, sales tools and standards for global commercial enablement and to drive procedure adoption of Orpheus products and services.
    • Interface with product management teams to develop technical and clinical messaging and positioning and enable regional marketing teams to pull through in marketing assets and programs.
    • Develop and implement marketing and sales enablement tools, assets and videos which can be localized by commercial teams based on their needs and priorities
  • Sales Opportunity Development
    • Identify sales opportunities and work closely with various sales team to identify sales opportunities through the various sales channels: direct, Intuitive installed base and channel partners.
    • Build technical and clinical marketing scale by implementing marketing best practices around clinician KOL development and networking, peer-to-peer programs and physician/surgical society relationships.
    • Identify and prioritize key customer organizations (physician KOLs and strategic customers – hospitals, regional and national IDNs) to create and promote best-in-class success references rooted in customer analytics
    • Develop and partner with IDN physicians and key opinion leaders both nationally and regionally to implement programs and activities with a goal of strategically growing the use of Orpheus Medical solutions and accelerating adoption in various specialties.
  • Be an internal clinical expert to support clinical and marketing strategic priorities, programs and projects.
  • Build strong relationships with sales teams to ensure successful localization and amplification of clinical marketing content and capture voice of customer. Partner with sales teams to execute targeted marketing strategies, including clinical education, new technology promotion and product launches.
  • Establish surgeon, care team, surgical center and ongoing relationships with the goal of making Orpheus Medical the preferred industry partner for intelligent clinical media management.
  • Lead quantify the impact analyses to expose clinical improvement, program optimization and market expansion opportunities within health systems
  • KOL Development
    • Performs gap analysis and puts together program specs for unmet needs within KOL and Customer Management areas. Develops, monitors and controls the program scope, the resource schedules and timelines in partnership with technical and commercial partners.
    • Conducts KOL training programs and collateral, builds KOL roundtables, runs KOL surveys online and in person, designs other strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening Orpheus’s relationships with its KOLs and maximizing value exchange in customer events

Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
  • 10 plus years of clinical/medical, product, medical/surgical devices and systems, marketing and/or sales experience in a medical device company preferred.
  • Prior experience in medical imaging, procedure or surgical room devices and workflow is preferred.
  • Experience working with corporate executives within IDNs / health systems, hospital administrators and decision support functions is also desired.
  • Proven ability to effectively position and message products and implement marketing programs to drive product adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities to deliver high-impact marketing programs on-time and within budget to support overall marketing strategy and business objectives.
  • Results-driven attitude & a resolve to win; must be self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize and plan.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship development and influence management.
  • Proven ability to solve open-ended problems and work cross-functionally to implement initiatives.
  • Superior verbal/written communication and presentation skills, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills to work across multiple constituents.
  • Must be well versed in MS Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or business discipline. MBA or advanced degree is desirable.
  • Up to 25% travel. International travel may be required
