Your Impact As a Systems Engineer in the Video team you will help channel a mission driven engineering organization forward by analyzing customer requirements, developing architectural solutions, and defining and documenting targets for the team using structured design and development methodologies to deliver tangible value for Axon, our customers, and the communities they serve. leverage your process-driven approaches to help a passionate team bring new technologies to public safety and leave a mark on the world

Your Day to Day

• You will primarily be responsible for applying your systems engineering expertise to the following:
• Review product requirements & feature requests
• systems architectures, block diagrams, and interaction diagrams
• Define key engineering requirements,
• Manage requirements and provide traceability from Product Requirements through verification and validation.
• Organize cross functional system reviews
• Perform risk analysis and design tradeoff studies.
• Perform design testing and verification activities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BS or MS in Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineering fields.
• A minimum of 5 years of systems engineering design experience.
• A minimum of 3 years designing battery powered embedded systems.
• Specifying products to enterprise quality standards.
• Requirements management and traceability.
• Developing products with electrical, mechanical and firmware subsystems.
• Specification of subsystem and their interactions.
• Interpretation and analysis of product requirements.
• Writing of engineering specifications.
• Experience with designing products to regulatory standards (CE, FCC, IEC).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Performing risk analysis.
• Leading cross functional DFMEA teams.
• A minimum of 5 years experience with video camera systems.
• A minimum of 3 years experience with reliability engineering for electromechanical subsystems.
• A minimum of 3 years integrating wireless systems such as LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, BLE.
• A minimum of 3 years experience integrating electronics in to mechanical housings.
• A minimum of 5 years experience with thermal management solutions for board level electronics.
