Your Role and Responsibilities Currently we are looking for
Mainframe z/OS System Automation Administrator . You will be working with Automation and will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of mainframe automation solutions in a large enterprise system environment (>50 LPARs, sysplexes) including installation, configuration and release or version change of Tivoli NetView and Tivoli System Automation for z/OS and related software products.
You will have the possibility to directly impact on the software evolution together with the customer and to analyze and optimize z/Os and the associated software.
This job ad is for IBM CIC in Katowice, but work can be done remotely from any place in Poland.
Responsibilities: - Development of processes, routines and exits for Tivoli NetView and Tivoli System Automation for z/OS and related software products
- Collaboration with Business Units, Service Delivery Groups and IT Operations Center staff in relation to mainframe automation capabilities
- Active recommendation of improvements for automation configuration and procedures
- Problem determination followed by root cause analysis and
- documentation
- Implementation of changes to z/OS and installed SW followed by
- documentation
- Participation in analyzing, planning and implementation of upgrades to
- z/OS and installed SW
- New products installation, testing and customization working with incident and change management tools
- Understanding and implementation of customer specific requirements
- On-call support

Required Technical and Professional Expertise - Experience with mainframe automation technologies in a large scale environment; preferably with Tivoli NetView, Tivoli System Automation, CA Auto Operator, BMC Mainview and IBM z/OS automation tools.
- Very good knowledge of the following products:
- Tivoli Netview for z/OS
- Tivoli System Automation for z/OS
- GDPS
- ZIS
- TSO ISPF, REXX/NetView PIPEs, CLIST
- catalog management
- Proven knowledge of MVS structures and network interfaces
- Knowledge of SYS1.PARMLIB configuration and JES customization
- Familiarity with NVAS, CA AutoOperator
- Very good command of English
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise - Very good knowledge of SMP/E
- Very good knowledge of IPCS and EREP
- Very good knowledge of JCL, ISPF skels and macros,
- Experience with Compuware toolsets for managing DB2on.
- Experience in support and deployment with DB2 z/OS database
- Working knowledge of DB2 data sharing groups
- Familiarity with DFSMS, IPCS , EREP, RACF, WLM
- Familiarity with Office products e.g. WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT
