You will be responsible to lead and develop your team of Industrial Engineers by mentoring, establishing goals, providing career development, and conducting performance appraisals. You will also define training requirements for new industrial engineers, deliver instruction, and assist with data analysis and project management as needed.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead non-revenue generating (NRG) wafer and OPEX/cost strategy for all DEG products, find opportunities to minimize capital expenditures
  • Communicate OPEX strategy forecast to Sr. leadership and multi-functional product teams
  • Provide guidance through debug and resolution of NRG wafer forecasting issues
  • Forecast long-term engineering demand and ensure demand records are as specific as necessary to meet requirements, including special flow requirements and exceptions
  • Support definition of efficient logistical flows for ever-evolving Eng. solutions. Includes new product flow definition, attribute creation and maintenance
  • Provide experimental support for Product Engineering development (reflows, fuse sort)
  • Handle product engineering inventory and product line cleanup
  • Lead Development Chip and Sustaining Products; Product Development Team (PDT). PDT Lead will be responsible for achieving the program targets shown in the project release document (schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness and budget)
  • Lead discussions with partners across the Technology & Products Group (TPG), Global Supply Chain (GSC), and Business Units to capture and model DEG product development requirements
  • Work with Product Development, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to balance against cost, timeline, and manufacturability
  • Design and/or improve models as needed in order to enable accurate and effective data representative of DEG product development requirements
  • Analyze data, make data driven decisions and recommendations to customer groups
  • Provide technical planning and management training and expertise
  • Set performance management guidelines for your engineers and leads
  • Routinely provide guidance on career development in your team
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals of your team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • The ability to work independently in a very fast paced environment and adapt to daily changes
  • Understanding of capacity planning and forecasting tools and applications
  • Good multitasking and organizational skills, able to make decisions in complex situations
  • Ability to delegate tasks and set priorities in a team environment
  • Passion for investigate root-cause and provide corrective action for system and quality inefficiencies
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective communication skills in written and spoken English
  • We work in a Global team with representation in Japan, Taiwan, Virginia and Idaho and our Manufacturing Facilities have worldwide representation with majority in Asia
  • Ability to work with a variety of cultures and with multi-functional teams
  • Availability to attend evening meetings as needed

Education & experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering (or IE-equivalent degrees) or other fields of Engineering; MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant IE or IE-equivalent experience in the field of semiconductors or memory products
