Job Summary and Description:

As a Data Analysis Engineer Intern, you are responsible for improving processes by analyzing fab electrical and manufacturing data. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing all required safety training and conducting all work in accordance with Micron safety policies
  • Providing data analysis support for the Fab
  • Performing final electrical and inline data correlations to drive yield and performance improvements
  • Conducting data mining and investigating yield issues/excursions
  • Analyzing variances to highlight deviant or mismatched tools/processes
  • Analyzing parametric trends and troubleshooting shifts
  • Analyzing split lots and processing material deviations
  • Providing creative solutions to problems that are different than "typical" semiconductor problems
  • Formulating theoretical explanations and models to problems based on scientific principles
  • Collaborating with other engineers to drive business process alignment
  • Creating data analysis scripts/tools
  • Conducting industry wide research in scientific journals on semiconductor and data analysis topics

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of semiconductor processing and device physics
  • Proven ability to communicate and present technical material effectively
  • Advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills
  • Demonstrated scripting skills (JSL, Python, R)
  • Strong structural and process integration knowledge with sufficient comprehension of each process area
  • Understanding of basic device physics in deciphering parametric data
  • Understanding of SPC principles
  • Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects
  • Demonstrated strong partnering and team building skills
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causes
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize the process flow
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills
  • PC skills including Microsoft Office, JMP, ANOVA generation, commonality
  • Proven time management, organization, and prioritization skills

Education and Experience: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree in an engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Materials Science or other related field. Must have an expected graduation date of December 2021, or later.
