Job Description

  • **Participates in the development and leads implementation of the neuroscience strategic plan.
  • **Works with each organization’s respective marketing teams to develop and implement a joint marketing/branding plan to increase awareness of services and grow market share.
  • **Sources and assesses business development and growth opportunities for the benefit of the joint venture service line.
  • **Works with physician and quality leadership to develop and maintain a quality structure to support the joint neuroscience program.
  • **Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders at each organization to identify and implement program efficiencies and standardize processes.
  • **Develops and implements new programs, in collaboration with other health system leadership and the physician partners, to accomplish the objectives of the business plans for neuroscience. Coordinates system-wide strategy and planning for services, consistency of standards and developing integrated programs for EvergreenHealth and Overlake.
  • **Provides leadership in collaboration with physician dyad partner and neuroscience JLC to plan, develop, implement and evaluate patient care programs, services and practice models including identification of business objectives, capital and other resource needs, expected operating revenues and expenses, and collaborates with operational leaders for allocation of space and organization of program personnel and other operational components.
  • Completes all duties in collaboration with the Joint Neuroscience Leadership Council and physician dyad partner(s).
  • Facilitates the development and leads implementation of a multi-year provider recruitment plan.
  • Collaborates with each organization’s appropriate departments to recruit, select, and on-board neuroscience providers.
  • Collaborates with operational leaders to prepare annual operating and capital budget forecasts for the neuroscience service line.
  • Develops and maintains an operational dashboard for the neuroscience service line.
  • Prepares agenda and facilitates Joint Neuroscience Leadership Council meetings.
  • Prepares presentations as appropriate for the EHA steering committee and EHA Board related to the joint neuroscience service line.
  • Collaborates with operational and financial leaders at each organization to track and report financial performance of the joint venture.
  • Communicates program plans and accomplishments with both organizations’ leadership teams.
  • Collaborates with external partners to develop and enhance program initiatives.
  • Seeks out best practices across the industry, monitors technology evolution, and continuously evaluates emerging opportunities and threats within the market.
  • Responsible for helping to identify opportunities and strategies to ensure exceptional patient experience.
  • Works to strengthen and improve the coordination of care for patients between the two organizations
  • Functions as a liaison between physicians, nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, patients and other key stakeholders and community partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Plan and integrate functions and services to support Overlake’s goals and priorities.
  • Build effective working relationships throughout the organization with managers, staff, physicians, customers and suppliers.
  • Provide leadership for effective service.
  • Select qualified and competent employees; provide orientation and continuing education and development.
  • Communicate vision and priorities and facilitate development of team and individual goals in alignment with organization goals.
  • Establish performance expectations and provide coaching to achieve positive results. Recognize effective performance, and address performance needing improvement in an honest and timely manner.
  • Empower staff to make decisions by providing information and tools.
  • Serve as an effective role model and encourage staff to develop and demonstrate those values.
  • Continually assess and improve care and services provided to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of customers. Foster continuous quality improvement by leading teams in use of quality management tools and processes.
  • Manage organizational resources with fiscal responsibility and promote effective allocation and utilization.
  • Follow the policies, procedures, and practices outlined in the Code of Conduct and Organizational Ethics policy. Report any business practice/compliance concerns according to organization policy.
  • Maintain current knowledge or regulatory issues and practices related to area of expertise and to lead change when needed to ensure compliance.
  • Exhibit behaviors that support the organization’s Service Standards and Cultural Beliefs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
