Meet the Role: Our Salesforce Systems Architect resides in our Enterprise Applications (EA) group and will focus on several key areas. In partnership with the Business Relationship Managers within the larger Enterprise Solutions and Applications (ESA) organization, the Salesforce Architect
will support the development of roadmaps for our internal offices, helping to leverage the maximum benefit of our investments in the Salesforce platform and plan feasible paths forward to accomplish business priorities. This role will provide solution design leadership, enforcing scalable best practices across project and tool deployments. An ideal candidate contributes to the health of our growing systems landscape and drives long-term business value while minimizing technical debt to support our digital transformation journey. As part of a cohesive unit of creative problem-solvers, the Salesforce Architect should foster cross-team collaboration, provide mentorship and guidance to developing team members, and provide thought leadership to promote innovation.
Role Responsibilities: · Be the senior lead on Salesforce Architecture at PointClickCare · Establish and co-lead as the primary Salesforce relationship manager, always looking forward into the entire Salesforce platform roadmap and partner ecosystem; advise and publish new and planned features and functions while identifying risk and mitigation plans in deprecations · Partner with the Business Operations, PMO and Enterprise Applications teams to guide and support the Salesforce platform development, continuous delivery, administration, and documentation best practices · Lead, design and advocate the Salesforce multi-year roadmap, incorporating both business and technical initiatives and the associated value propositions · Conduct regular solution and architecture review sessions; design, build, and lead an internal peer advisory board (future COE) · Support activities including but not limited to business roadmap planning, project portfolio reviews, integration reviews, recommending add-on tools, research and innovation, knowledge management, sprint grooming and planning, and technical issue resolution as applicable · Collaborate with the business stakeholders, Business Relationship and Solution Manager team members to determine change request technical and functional requirements; influence and educate on impact and risk throughout the business lifecycle · Be empowered to challenge deadlines and must-haves, facilitate open discussion, negotiate project implementation phases, and drive success scopes · Provide advanced technical and/or business consultative services prior to and during the launch of programs, including overall development, validation, and deployment plan oversight; ensure security and compliance around data, roles, and privileges · Coach and mentor technical and non-technical team members, share experience, knowledge, and promote career and skills development · And all other tasks as assigned
About You: · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry/business experience · Proven ability to effectively communicate and drive cross-functional change · Persuasive and credible presentation and facilitation skills; ability to influence and negotiate · Comprehensive critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills · Extensive experience in a consultative role with a track record of building Salesforce-based solutions and roadmaps · Experience leading business process improvement initiatives, including the influence and management of functional area relationships and expectations · Experience in and strong knowledge of Agile change request, development, and continuous delivery best practices · Salesforce Administrator certification is required · Working towards or completion of Salesforce Certified System Architect, Application Architect and/or Technical Architect is an asset It is the policy of PointClickCare to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, religion, national origin, status, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital or domestic/civil partnership status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other basis protected by law.
