Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in tech product marketing roles.
  • Experience operating in a global role/on a global scale.
  • Experience working cross-functionally, partnering with groups such as Sales, Engineering, Product Management, User Experience and User Interface.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience operating in a hyper-growth/entrepreneurial environment and scaling new and emerging products from the ground-up.
  • Experience working in an enterprise technology setting.
  • Outstanding narrative and storytelling abilities that propel usage, adoption and market momentum.
  • A track record of bringing innovative, industry-leading, category-defining tech products to market.

As the Director of Product Marketing for G Suite Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our G Suite communication apps. Partnering closely with Sales and Product Management, you will have overall responsibility for developing positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation and Go-to-Market strategies for communication solutions and pioneering new products that help people connect and teams increase their productivity.

In this role, you will be laser focused on putting our customers first. Intuitively anticipating their needs before they even arise, you will be able to go beyond standard market research to predict where the market is trending and where future opportunities lie for the G Suite apps more broadly. Utilizing insights and data to influence product strategy and investment, you will help scale products from the ground-up, organize product launches and create a repeatable Go-to-Market process.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the narratives for the G Suite communications apps, for both consumer and commercial, ensuring they speak to the inventiveness at the heart of our innovative technology and the needs of our customers.
  • Define business goals, audiences, buyer’s journey, strategy, solutions, positioning, messaging, key tactics, budget and dependencies, and then drive cross-functional consensus and enlistment to deliver business results.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of highly talented Product Marketing Managers to develop compelling product value propositions and global marketing plans, including pricing, packaging and channel.
  • Incorporate cutting-edge insights into marketing strategies and inspire colleagues to take risks and innovate.
  • Drive alignment across Sales, Product, Developer Relations and Marketing functions to realize the shared goals of the marketing plan. Ensure the plan is executed.
