Retail Manager

AR/VR | Menlo Park, CA

Facebook is seeking a experienced Retail Manager to oversee operations for our retail store at our new Burlingame campus. This position will be at the core of store operations, overseeing day-to-day retail functions, providing a best-in-class customer experience, and delivering against key success metrics like sales, customer engagement, NPS and product advocacy. This person will oversee the store team and manage relationships with vendors and staffing agencies providing additional operational support. The Retail Manager will also focus on innovative efforts to translate learnings from the store into actionable insights for key company stakeholders. This candidate will be a highly entrepreneurial leader with extensive experience managing retail operations and a proven track record working between field and corporate settings. In addition, they will have experience executing retail test & learn programs. This candidate will have deep experience in retail operations, strong communication and collaboration skills, an eagerness to work in a rapidly evolving environment and a passion for innovative retail. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily business operations and ensure stores are delivering against key metrics (e.g., sales, support, customer and employee advocacy, product awareness, trial)
  • Help develop store associate profiles and oversee recruitment through direct effort, internal recruiting partners and staffing agencies
  • Work with training team to deliver training curriculum for in-store retail team (e.g., Store Managers, Sales & Demo Associates, Customer Service Representatives)
  • Manage store staffing levels and scheduling
  • Coordinate and manage key support vendors (e.g., maintenance, security, janitorial)
  • Oversee store operations including inventory management, loss prevention, store performance reporting, etc.
  • Responsible for executing test & learn initiatives and interfacing with retail analytics team
  • Support continuous improvement via new experiences, training, and refreshes
  • Inform and ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards
  • Partner with marketing and communications teams on local PR, events and campaigns to drive foot traffic and community engagement, etc.
  • Work with corporate CRM team on communication efforts and drive excellence in local customer clienteling
  • Work with internal design and business partners to deliver optimal user experience
  • Experience launching a new concept and or leading new store openings
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years experience leading store teams or major departments
  • 10+ years in retail store operations
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in technology retail (hardware or software)
  • Experience managing test & learn programs within retail
  • Experience working between the field and corporate office
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who is driven and operates independently
  • Knowledge in retail and Facebook mission
  • Experience in leadership and collaboration skills
