Who we’re looking for: Rover is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to join our CRM Operations team. This specialist will own day-to-day email production of ad hoc, triggered, and transactional campaigns- a key element in the success of our CRM. This role is ideal for an email producer with a keen insight into the email landscape and a desire to grow as an email marketer. As a member of our team, you’ll feel ownership over our mission to make sure the Rover community feels valued, engaged, and informed. A successful person in the role is excellent at balancing multiple projects and has a sharp attention to detail; nothing slips through the cracks on their watch. They are an adept problem solver and cross-functional communicator. They enjoy working with an energetic and goal-oriented team and are constantly seeking opportunities to learn and hone your marketing skills. Due to COVID, this position will be remote for now but will eventually be located in our Seattle HQ.
Key Responsibilities:
- The building, targeting, QA, and deploying ad hoc, lifecycle, and transactional emails
- Advocating for and implementing industry best practices-- crafting best in class emails and maintaining outstanding deliverability
- Making updates to existing transactional and triggered emails
- Fielding incoming one-off requests from other teams and handling tactics for various email projects
- Fielding and executing research requests
- Maintaining email reporting and tracking progress against team metrics
- Crafting new automated email programs, automating imports of new data, creating email logic and dynamic content, and building programs
- Track and organize CRM communications, including archiving inactive communications, maintaining documentation, and updating active and inactive communications
Requirements:
- 1+ years of email marketing execution experience
- Track record of deploying accurate email campaigns
- Confident understanding of current email trends and standard methodologies
- Strong understanding of email deliverability strategy
- Organized, effective project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize deadlines.
- High attention to detail

- College degree or equivalent
Bonus Skills:
- SQL
- Html/CSS
- Experience executing emails within a large ESP (Responsys preferred)
