Job Description BAE Systems, Inc. has an opening for a GEOINT Data Analyst on Ft. Belvoir, VA directly supporting the Army GEOINT Office (AGO). The candidate shall perform staff actions as tasked in support of the Plans and Operations Team. Provides advice, recommendations, and support to Army organizations that perform GEOINT and analysis missions, plans, and operations. Candidate understands multi-INT analytic capabilities and seeks out new innovative ideas that drive foundational standards with a focus on GEOINT. Focused on data science integration, process automation, data ingestion and associated data management. The GEOINT Data Analyst will directly support the Department of the Army G2 (DA G2) and the Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) with recommendations for operations, plans and as an Army liaison for coordination with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) on specific Army interests. The GEOINT Data Analyst will be an active member and/or participant in various high-level councils and working groups as tasked as well as serving as a primary AGO administrative and operational contact for strategic communications between AGO, INSCOM, DA G-2, the Army and NGA.Required Skills and Education MA/MS in Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND 2 years CURRENT Intelligence Analysis experience;
OR
BA/BS in Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND 5 years CURRENT Intelligence Analysis experience;
OR
Undergraduate degree with graduate/professional certificate in Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND at least 10 years of Intelligence Analysis experience.
Must possess strong GEOINT and Multi-INT experience.
Experience utilizing programming languages such as SAS, R, Java, C, MATLAB, ScaLa, or Python.
Experience with GEOINT Enterprise TPED Services (GETS) data structures.
Excellent written & oral communication, research, and analytic skills.
Expert capabilities to research, create, develop, and deliver professional briefings, multimedia presentations, and written reports.Preferred Skills and Education Experience using data science focused libraries such as Pandas, BeautifulSoup, Numpy, Scikit, TensorFlow, ggplot2, tidyr, shiny and Gensim.
Experience applying advanced statistical analysis techniques (e.g. general linear modeling, structural equation modeling, Bayesian methods, time series, forecasting, anomaly detection, exp design).
Experience applying machine learning techniques (e.g. decision trees, topic modeling, and neural networks/deep learning, natural language processing).
Working knowledge of Army policies and regulations as well as established SOPs.
Experience with tradecraft and publication and ability to coordinate and support cross-community meetings and working groups, assimilate large volumes of information, and independently produce written reports.
