Data Analyst

Job Description

The Data Analyst would be responsible for analyzing Aquent’s financial and operational data and delivering insights from the data to various business owners throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate will have analytical skills and the ability to work both with analysts and business owners.

As a Data Analyst for Aquent, you will:

• Master business data and quickly deliver insights to leadership
• Perform trend and root cause analysis on changes in the business
• Work with data owners in operations and IT to ensure data accuracy and availability
• Work with product owners to deliver accurate reporting and measurement on new initiatives

Essential Skills:

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills
• The ability to take a consultative approach during request intake and iterations. Our internal clients have varying degrees of intimacy with their data. You should be able to interpret what solutions to provide, based on the questions asked
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with internal clients, and a successful track record of collaboration toward achieving objectives
• Self-motivation, with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently as the particular assignment requires
• The ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a positive manner

The right person for this role will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, engineering, computer science, or another STEM field, OR equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities
• Ability to explain technical ideas and concepts to non-technical audiences with clarity and patience
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in an analytical language such as R, SAS, or Python
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Experience with Tableau is a plus
