Position summary

Emergent Tech Acceleration (ETA) Manager

The mission of the Deloitte Consulting Emerging Tech and Tech Leadership group within New Business Innovation is to sense, research, and champion emerging technologies while deepening our reputation, relationship, and engagement with our clients’ technology executives.

We are currently seeking a Manager to support the ETTL’s Emergent Tech Acceleration (ETA) Team.

Work You’ll Do

In this role, you would be responsible for market enablement for the Emerging Tech Acceleration thread. There are two primary programs that sit under this thread:

· Tech Guild Program: Modeled after guilds from medieval times, the idea is to cultivate groups of experts and passionate apprentices that can dig deeply into emerging technologies that are disrupting our clients’ business

· Next Gen Architecture Program : Shaping solutions and reference architectures for emerging technologies, providing advanced architecture guidance to support project delivery on strategic accounts, and advancing recruiting, retaining, and growing our architecture competency

Key outcomes to achieve:

· Developing the workforce of the future in disruptive technologies, to better serve clients

· Enhancing identity, community and collaboration for technologists across emerging tech domains

· Providing opportunities to experiment and innovate with emerging and horizon next technology

· Improving recruiting and retention of technologists in our fastest growing areas of the business

This role would be responsible for a variety of activities including:

· Define and manage execution of workplan

· Recruit and onboard team members & manage part-time volunteers

· Manage development and standardization of architecture assets, tools, and access to technical infrastructure needed for R&D activities across Consulting

· Develop asset strategy for the guild and NGA program and own collaboration with other asset groups

· Support embedding Deloitte Certified Architects into pursuits and projects that are complex and pioneering

· Establish and manage the architecture coaching initiative

· Manage content management/crowdsourcing platform and related governance model

· Coordinate identification of market impact KPIs across programs and manage tracking/reporting across ETA

· Manage communications plan for thread

· Escalate risks and roadblock

· Define and track KPIs for workstreams

The T eam

Within the New Business Innovation, Emerging Tech and Tech Leadership is the combined entity of the Office of the CTO (OCTO) and the CIO Program . The OCTO helps drive technology research and development, define and evangelize Deloitte’s vision and messaging for technology services, identify and communicate key technology trends affecting our clients’ businesses, and help shape the strategy for Deloitte’s new and existing services and offerings. This role sits within ETTL on the Emerging Tech Acceleration team. The team focuses on high priority, emerging tech-focused, cross-Consulting growth initiatives.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 6-10 years of consulting experience or equivalent
  • Strong project management background
  • Location: US

Preferred:

  • High comfort level with technology topics and passion for and interest in emerging technology trends
  • Possess a process improvement mindset
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data to develop deliverables with trends, insights and recommendations
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
  • Self-directed and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment
  • Flexibility/adaptability – comfortable working with ambiguity and continually evolving priorities
  • Excellent focus on details and producing high quality work products
  • Demonstrates strong value for diversity and ability to team and collaborate effectively
