Junior Accountant
Updox is currently hiring a Junior Accountant, with a heavy emphasis on billing, to join our finance and admin team. As a Junior Accountant at Updox, you will be the go-to resource on our billing system and processes. We're a tight-knit admin team of 7 who love to solve complex problems, work with diverse internal and external teams, and are passionate about healthcare and technology.
What you'll do...

• Act as a liaison between customers/internal sales and our finance department to ensure appropriate billing processes are followed
• Understand customer billing processes and effectively discuss with enterprise customers when needed
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly analyses to ensure accurate billing and accounting
• Add and configure enterprise customers into our billing system and implement customer portal (Zoura)
• Oversee check payment applications from customers into our billing system (Zoura)
• Ensure correct customer information and payment details in Zoura
• Proactively reach out to annual customers prior to renewal
• Process enterprise customer refunds and invoice adjustments
• Review new sales to ensure billing is set up correctly
• Identify and collect on all outstanding accounts

What you'll bring...

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of billing experience ideal with exposure to general accounting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers - in this role you'll need to be comfortable calling customers and corresponding over email
• Above-average knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to manipulate data
