You will:

  • Support the product in production
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end delivery pipeline of a complex microservice-based product
  • Ensure the quality gates are enforced
  • Lower the effect of human error through repeatable automation
  • Manage underlying application infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Take active part in issue triage and infrastructure remediation
  • Ensure that product requirements around deploy ability, observability, upgradeability are met
  • Collect and process operational metrics from all systems
  • Evangelize principles of collaboration and DevOps across R&D, QA, Delivery, and Operations
  • Eradicate “over-the-fence” mentality

To be successful in the role you have:

  • Minimum of 7 years of recent DevOps Engineer experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, on-premises Kubernetes, and containerization in general
  • Expert knowledge in Linux administration
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet
  • Solid development skills in at least one of the following technology stacks: Python, Ruby, Java and Java-based languages, JavaScript, Golang, shell scripting
  • Good knowledge of Windows administration in Azure
  • In-depth understanding of Git
  • Experience in administration of GitLab and Artifactory
  • Hands-on experience with Jira automation
  • Experience defining Pipeline as Code, preferably in GitLab
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as TLS, 2FA, firewalls, and NAT
  • Good understanding and troubleshooting skills of IP networking
  • Hands-on experience with Zabbix, ELK, Prometheus, or Nagios
  • Bachelor’s (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive software design and architecture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to efficiently explain ideas, designs, and concepts to other team members

You also have:

  • Ability to build a sense of trust and rapport that crafts a comfortable and effective workplace
  • Passion for innovation and “can do” attitude
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Familiarity with Free Open Source Software, its principles, and licenses
  • Certifications in public cloud technologies
