SmartThings, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist the Controller in providing monthly financial statement preparation, as well as day-to-day accounting and financial services.

Responsibilities

• The candidates must have superior accounting skills.
• A strong knowledge of Excel, AP, AR, banking, account reconciliation, fixed assets, and GL entries for month-end close and financial reporting required.
• Designing and implementing an overall risk management process and internal controls for the organization, building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company.
• The candidate should have the ability to communicate with SmartThings Management Team and clients.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software and/or databases is highly preferred.
• Experience with SAP or Netsuite or Quickbooks required. Applicants must have the ability to analyze and refine accounting processes. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• High level of proficiency in Excel.
• Audit experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to roll up your sleeves and learn quickly.
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across various levels within the organization.
• Fluency in English and Korean is essential
