Description

Shutterfly is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist that will work closely with functional leaders to plan and implement category management and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives. A successful candidate will build a strong partnership with relative business leaders to manage demand, current and future roadmaps and vendor partnerships. This person understands best-practice procurement methods and business processes. S/he contributes in the negotiation of prices, terms, quality requirements, and assists in the development of new supply sources.

Other Key Responsibilities

  • Validate Purchase Requisitions, then create and track POs through the receipt processes ensuring accuracy and alignment at all points in the Procure-to-Pay cycle
  • Manage contracts and license agreements to ensure that obligations are met and the process for tracking renewals or replacement of existing agreements is managed and scalable
  • Prepare RFQs, bid documents, analyze and evaluate proposals, and administer the evaluation process
  • Actively manage designated suppliers and contribute to initiatives aimed at bettering financial and operational performance
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions
  • Provide thought leadership from a procurement/sourcing perspective and work with business partners to develop new and creative strategies
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve process issues impacting internal stakeholders
  • Manage aging of Purchase Orders on a quarterly basis.
  • Work with legal and finance on approval of agreements per signature authorization policy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or a technical field
  • Minimum of 6 to 8+ years in a professional procurement function
  • Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to work with suppliers
  • Understanding of technical solutions available in the marketplace
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
  • Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influence senior leadership
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
