POSITION TITLE:

Director of Engineering, Capture and Harvesting

POSITION DUTIES:

Ensure communication, projects, and action items running through the office are executed to perfection, ultimately serving as a force multiplier among Samba's leadership. Expedite strategic business opportunities to optimize for efficiency as the team scales and align internal teams. Oversee operations of the Capture and Harvesting department both technically and administratively. Own the infrastructure/systems responsible for stream capture and ensure the stability of our TV channel reference sites. Lead the Capture and Harvesting team that is responsible for the extraction and labeling of commercial assets from the TV channels. Execute on important initiatives for the Engineering organization and Samba as a whole that will help the company scale and operate more efficiently. Maintain a keen pulse of the Engineering team and use this to propose new initiatives that will improve the strength and stability of the Engineering division.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5 years of experience in the position offered or related occupation.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in the audio based ACR (Automatic Content Recognition) field; broadcasting and advertising industry; managing an organization of program or product managers, including building and growing the team; moving technical or engineering programs and products from inception to delivery, and experience articulating the impact using metrics, growth examples, and return; structuring an organization that optimizes for execution, including attracting talent and building out gaps in the existing team; communication experience and working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products; and analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
