BCGDV is partnering with an international innovator in financial services to launch a digital investment platform here in Berlin. The FinTech venture will combine a user-centric approach and modern technology to reshape financial planning and drive value for customers. Bringing to bear the competitive advantage and market-leading products of their corporate partner, the innovative service enables users to manage a customised portfolio of investments, whilst preparing for key life events.

Backed by a global player, the startup bridges deep industry know-how with digital capabilities. To support our upcoming market launch, we are looking for a UI designer (m/f/x) to contribute to the design aspects of the product. This is a rare opportunity to drive industry change and create lasting value for customers from Day 1.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and drive the visual language, polish and consistency across the entire user journey
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, user flows, wireframes and prototypes
• Develop innovative and engaging UI components while collaborating with Engineering and Product Management for implementation
• Develop product concepts together with Product Management and Engineering
• Draw insights from product analytics and derive ideas for UX/UI improvements
• Drive design matters proactively, being always up to date about the latest design tools, methods, processes, and trends and actively engage with the design team, the company and even beyond

Key requirements:

• Several years prior experience building digital products in close collaboration with developers and product managers
• Outstanding portfolio of prior work that demonstrates strong user-centered as well as visual design capabilities
• Experience applying established design principles to wireframes, rigorously preparing files for build and closely working with engineering to problem-solve. Experience working with corporate guidelines is a plus
• Ability to flex into UX, undertaking research, creating wireframes and narrowing down complex requirements into simple, clear, and elegant design solutions
• Experience in creating innovative user interface designs, enabling delightful and meaningful user experiences
• Deep knowledge of current design tools (e.g. sketch, abstract, zeplin,...), responsive web design and mobile apps
• Work experience in agile product team setups and short product iteration cycles
• Strong communication and fluent language skills in both German and English, in order to clearly explain design decisions and processes to stakeholders
