Senior Principal Solutions Consultant

As a pre-sales Senior Principal Solutions Consultant, you’ll be responsible for meeting with clients to discuss and define the overall structure of Ellucian solutions and the campus ecosystem to increase the penetration of the Ethos platform, Ellucian solutions and optimize client’s opportunity for growth. It will be essential to understand aspects of higher ed systems, from both a business and technical point of view. This means having a full working knowledge of technologies such as Cloud (AWS), Oracle, Banner, SOA, modern analytics solutions and the ability to articulate the value of them for future growth and alignment with an institution’s mission.
Enable the members of the Cloud and Regional Field Sales team on Ellucian cloud solutions and impart best practices of client engagement and Cloud opportunities. Lead strategic cross functional programs as the Ellucian Cloud business continues to grow.

Some of the main tasks you can expect to be involved in include:

• Identifying the organization's needs
• Make recommendations and proposals for large scale projects to operationalize Ellucian Cloud solutions
• Explaining Ellucian solutions to designers and developers
• Advising the client on managing future IT needs
• Conducting focused client workshops to educate them on Ellucian platform solutions, develop cloud opportunities and advise on paths forward

Requirements:

• Good communication with clients/operational managers – listening and providing answers
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to build from good relationships with clients/operational managers and colleagues
• Ability to gather and assimilate information
• Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Desired Experience/Education:

• Deep understanding and experience with integration architecture and methods
• Higher education experience is strongly preferred. Other experience will be considered.
• Experience with Cloud solutions, Cloud platform development, AWS strongly preferred
