Job Description
Position Overview Rackspace is expanding its Professional Services offering and adding New Relic as the primary technology for its Application Performance Monitoring Suites COE. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems using the New Relic platform, working with its suite of products and connectors, and designing and building APIs. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for working with data flows, analyzing data, and building modern applications for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers and architects to implement New Relic solutions.
- Architect and implement next-gen monitoring solutions for large and complex customers undergoing significant changes in their organizations.
- Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments.
- Ensure the success of significant deployments like cloud migrations and digital transformations for major corporations through effective monitoring.
- Play the role of Delivery Lead leveraging a mixed group of technical specialists consisting of onshore and offshore resources in India and Mexico.
- Collaborate with Product Management on the roadmap and deliver customized roadmap presentations to our top customers.
- Assist in pre-sales activities to demonstrate New Relic capabilities and scope New Relic implementations.
Technical Skills
- APM languages: Java, .NET, NodeJS, Python, Ruby, PHP, or Golang.
- End-user technologies: iOS, Android, JavaScript, HTML5, video players.
- Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker / Kubernetes.
- A clear understanding of network and system management solutions.
- Experience with real user monitoring and digital experience monitoring.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering technical solutions within a Professional Services environment with 2 years spent architecting New Relic implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a deep understanding of the customers’ businesses as well as their technical environments.
- Experience in the monitoring space (APM, Digital Experience, Tracing, AIOps, Infrastructure, Logging).
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
- Ability to travel domestically upwards of 30%.
- Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
