This position will work with our internal sales support team (CSE’s), university digital learning organizations and professors to identify potential opportunities for MathWorks product integration in related STEM courses. The primary responsibility will be to focus on opportunities to support instructors incorporating MathWorks tools into their courses that use online learning technology. The role requires senior-level capabilities to work with professors at these universities to identify opportunities for MathWorks and to promote the entire solution of our tools and support while driving usage of our product(s).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the opportunity funnel for new and existing on-campus online courses that can potentially utilize our products within the context of instruction
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities for participation in online learning
  • Grow and maintain relationship with key contacts to drive increased collaboration on items of mutual interest
  • Work directly with professors to encourage them to transition from current course software to MATLAB.
  • Coordinate with internal sales support teams to communicate value provided to the account through on-campus MOOC activities.
  • Research, track, report, and present key market trends in the industry
  • Develop and propose new business models through business cases with an eye toward communicating benefits and risks for stakeholders
  • Coordinate process of evaluating, negotiating, and closing deals with new professors and universities WW
  • Contribute to strategic planning in the area of online learning and how it related to our academic goals
  • Perform competitive analysis to assess relative strengths and weaknesses of solutions
  • Manage communication with key program stakeholders and report key metrics measuring program success
  • Facilitate campaigns for conversions and future engagement with customers
  • Create promotional materials and communication strategy through social media and other traditional channels for building awareness and participation

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Business Development experience- experience with prospecting/lead development
  • Strong networking abilities
  • Strong time management skills and organizational abilities
  • Online marketing and presentation skills
  • High energy, professionalism, and motivation
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse team of technical and non-technical contacts
  • Data analysis skills in gathering, processing, analyzing, and presenting data
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time
  • Experience with online learning a plus
  • Experiences in academia at the college level a plus
  • Salesforce, PowerBI experience/exposure a plus
