Job Description

Quizlet’s mission is to help students (and their teachers) practice and master whatever they are learning. Every month more than 50 million active learners from 130 countries practice and master more than 300 million study sets on every conceivable topic and subject. We are developing new learning experiences by modeling how students learn and drawing upon knowledge acquisition, retention, and pedagogy in cognitive science. We are always seeking to help students master any subject by optimizing study efficiency and engagement. What we're looking for: The International team (based in London) is looking for someone to support marketing efforts, particularly for UK teachers and international content providers and publishers. We are a small team focused on strategic growth in the UK and international markets. Specifically, we want someone who is passionate about education, has an eye for content and design and has aspirations for marketing. This is a hands-on role to support user acquisition and community management on building something important over the coming months. You should be organised and logical but also creative and may have an interest in social media. You should be confident in communicating your thoughts clearly but also have the ability to think for yourself to get things done. Quizlet is located in San Francisco, CA and Denver CO. and our London team is our first outside the United States.

In this associate programme, you’ll:

• Build out Quizlet’s Content Pages, including landing pages for paid promotion, pages for partners.
• Convert content from books and other media to usable educational content on the Quizlet platform.
• Copywriting and editing blog posts on and off Quizlet, writing engaging and effective ad copy, and emails to be sent to our users.
• Grow Quizlet’s social media following across platforms and audiences - running our Instagram competitions, responding to messages and posting content.
• Identify and build relationships with Teachers (both domestically and internationally) through outreach via Twitter and through our platform.
• Assist in planning curriculum aligned content, curating Quizlet sets.

At a minimum, We’d like you to have:

• Strong writing (copywriting) and verbal skills
• Organizational skills with an eye for detail
• Some knowledge of design - potentially, experience with Photoshop or Illustrator or other design program
• Understanding of social media and online communities (You likely have an Instagram and TikTok account.)
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to hold a conversation, conduct an interview, and interact with our users in professional settingsFocused, organized, proactive, ability to multi-task and digitally capable
• Ability to work contemporaneously with our London-based team both remotely and in-office (once permitted)
• Access to good Internet connection and ability to work remotely
• Fluent English Speaker
• Graduate or 3rd year with work experience.
• Authorized to work lawfully in the UK

It’s Preferred if you have:

• An interest in the field of Education
• Education experience (volunteering, extra-curricular, etc.)
• Experience using Quizlet as a user
