As a key member of Micron’s Financial Planning and Analysis team, you will participate in building out and maintaining a world class finance reporting and analytics environment to provide data-based insight into key financial reporting. The use of analytics and automation in finance is full of emerging capabilities and is ripe for development. You will have the opportunity to work creatively on a variety of projects across a global organization with a diverse set of people. We’re looking for a team member with a strong data background, who is enthusiastic and positive, and interested in exploring new and innovative approaches which provide deeper insights for management.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Gather and consult on project requirements from key partners
• Consult on and drive the creation of data projects and design of their execution
• Partner with the data engineering/warehouse team in gathering requirements, designing, testing, and supporting the development of data structures and the data warehouse
• Troubleshoot data mining, data integration, and data quality issues
• Design and automate self-service reporting solutions through Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization/dashboarding methods
• Perform statistical analysis to support team in business monitoring as well as measuring key strategic objectives
• Build and maintain consistency in reporting across the organization
• Collaborate cross functionally to develop new data initiatives and automation of key processes
• Communicates to share knowledge and findings, presenting results in a manner that the finance team and business partners can understand

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, or Information Technology Management
• 3 years of demonstrated ability in data reporting, business or finance experience preferred
• Problem Solving: someone who is naturally curious, who can find creative solutions to effectively address business needs and implement in an impactful way
• Flexibility: Able to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, must be detail oriented, and have strong project management / organizational skills
• Initiative: make continuous progress on the things that matter without specific instructions; find more effective or efficient solutions to existing problems

Minimum Qualifications:

• Visualize key concepts from complex data and/or text
• Convey data clearly and accurately using icons, charts, graphs, and tables
• Experience incorporating automation and data analytics to enhance business processes
• Strong familiarity with data structures, data development, and modeling techniques
• Project management and organization skills, including attention to detail
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Results-oriented, focused, dedicated and a self-starter
• Outstanding SQL skills
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tool
• Scripting ability in R or Python preferred
• Experience with SAP, Cognos TM1 or other analytics tools is preferred
