We are hiring software engineering interns for Summer 2020 across various departments of our engineering organization. Interns will work alongside and collaborate with full-time engineers and scientists on their respective teams, will have ownership of their projects, and will be given the opportunity to work with our data at scale.

We are seeking highly motivated and technically adept students to help us build out and extend the capabilities of our systems and data pipelines. Interns will get the chance to work with our production datasets and will be exposed to various technologies (e.g. Spark, AWS, etc) that we use to produce the measurements and analytics that we provide our clients. And, they will collaborate with members of the Data Science and Data Analyst teams as they tackle the challenges faced in their projects.

Project

During the internship, the person would work on an implementation of Machine Learning backed auto-scaler for our data processing clusters. The work would involve the discovery and gathering of relevant metrics, integration with various AWS APIs and services, and finally the implementation, and comparison of different ML algorithms for the job.

Qualifications

• Students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science (or related quantitative field)
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, Go, Java, etc)
• Strong analytical thinker with solid Computer Science fundamentals
