What You'll Do

In today’s business world, the large insurance companies’ main concern is the claims management process --- and how to automatize it, reduce time, cost, and better detect fraud.
BCG will set up a dedicated team of experts harnessing this topic, and help our clients transform, streamline and improve their whole claims management’s KPIs, leveraging advanced digital tools, organization design, or process efficiency.
Insurance Data & Analytics Experts build a foundation for the future of business, working at the intersection of two practices: Technology Advantage (helping BCG clients improve performance through the use of data and technology) and Insurance (deep business knowledge of this sector).

Expert Career Track consultants are vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Our Experts are driven by a passion to explore and innovate in their field. As part of our consulting cohort, they work alongside our generalist and specialty consultants to form “one BCG team,” capable of delivering deep strategy and technical expertise. Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise usually gained outside of BCG in either industry, academia, or specialized consulting. As an Expert Associate Director, you will apply your deep expertise to generate value for our clients while building and contributing to BCG’s intellectual capital. Your role in projects can vary from team management to team advisor. You will leverage your expertise to add insight and drive clients toward recommendations and you will be viewed as a trusted advisor by senior clients. You will help scope and structure the work, onboard team members, and provide guidance throughout the project. Expert Principals contribute significantly to BCG’s intellectual capital, generate interest and excitement about their expertise area, and coach and mentor others.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

It takes more than technology to reach this destination. We are seeking people who can challenge old assumptions, organize business functions with a digital mindset, create new ways of working to support that, and change the way people think, work, and lead.

We’re looking for exceptional talent from consulting or industry (insurance company) to join us. You would typically have:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience overall, with a significant consulting experience driving large scale, technology enabled transformation, with a focus on claims management operations, preferably in an international/multicultural environment.
• OR significant industry experience in claims operations management or claims strategy, ideally in an international/multicultural environment in a top insurance organization
• Strong knowledge of Properties & Casualties (P&C) claims management
• Experience in interfacing data and business agendas in designing ans implementing new claims management organisations.
• Experience in leading large platforms, delivery centres or supervised (digital) transformations is a must.
• Strong academics; advanced degree preferred.

Our Expert consultants within DigitalBCG are an integral part of BCG's core consulting team; you will work side-by-side with all practice areas to create value & competitive advantage for our clients. Your team will include senior BCG leadership, teams of BCG Consultants, and both junior and senior client leaders working collaboratively to drive the transformation, and shared services/control functions. You will roll up your sleeves with clients to work through both macro and day-to-day problem solving in an agile fashion and often times, you will also work side-by-side with agile coaches in an apprenticeship model to help our clients develop their internal agile coaching workforce .
