Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week; Benefits Eligible (Including Dental, Health, Vision, Retirement Savings plan, and more)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday and occasional Saturday hours during the clinic hours of operations (Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 7:30pm, Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm & Saturday 8:00 am - noon)

As a Medical Assistant at our Elmbrook Medical Arts Center in the Internal Medicine clinic you will have the opportunity to work on a team comprised of healthcare professionals committed to providing compassionate care with positive patient outcomes in our Internal Medicine Clinic. You will administer injections/vaccinations, chart & room patients, assist in procedures, take vitals, record patient information in our EHR (electronic healthcare record) EPIC, and perform other duties and responsibilities typically associated with the Medical Assistant role.

What You Will Do

As an associate with the Ascension Medical Group, you will have the opportunity to assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.
• Performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
• Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

• Experience working as a medical assistant is stronlgy preferred.
• Internal Medicine/Family Medicine/Primary Care experience is preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare, specifically a clinic setting, is preferred.
• Experience administering injections/vaccinations is preferred.
