What is the opportunity?

The Client Associate/Branch Service Manager (BSM) is a player-coach role responsible for supporting Financial Advisors and acting as a resource to other Client Associates in the branch. You will be a primary liaison between the Complex Managerial staff and the branch on all operational matters and will ensure branch support staff comply with RBC policies and procedures. You will also onboard new accounts, process and maintain account records, implement technology changes and prepare correspondence in a fast paced, professional and collaborative environment.

What will you do?

  • Oversee branch operations (either directly or indirectly) and coordinate vendor visits, track and set up seminars, maintain mutual fund and research files, and review bills, invoices, expenses, and receipt of client funds and check disbursements, following required branch, complex and RBC procedures for handling client securities.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues pertaining to staff supervision, in partnership with appropriate business units. Model, encourage and develop a positive and productive work environment to foster a strong team culture within the branch.
  • Coordinate and provide training to branch staff informing them of updates to policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients by assisting them and answering account questions; facilitate the transfer of funds and securities, complete trades in client accounts, and process checks, wires and ACH’s in a timely manner. Assist branch director with production goals.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5 or more years of financial services experience with a solid knowledge of industry rules and regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication and computer skills
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Series 7, Series 63/65 or 66
  • Attention to detail coupled with the mindset of how you can make the branch more efficient and effective

Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor’s degree
