Legal Operations Team Lead

Job Description

We’re looking for a highly passionate legal operations expert and hands-on people manager to lead our nascent Legal Operations Team to greatness. As a manager for Legal Operations, you’ll own law enforcement response, copyright and trademark issues, and responding to civil legal process. You’ll have a meaningful impact balancing user safety and privacy leading a critical team.

• Managing a team of smart individual contributors to ensure that all matters related to law enforcement response, copyright and trademark, and civil legal process are handled properly and efficiently
• Serving as an escalation point for law enforcement response, copyright, and trademark questions from direct reports
• Rolling up your sleeves to contribute to those areas when needed
• Driving data-supported operational and tooling improvements

• Deep experience in at least one of the following areas: law enforcement response, copyright and trademark, or processing civil legal process
• Expertise in at least one of the following: ECPA, DMCA, civil procedure
• Passion for legal operations and excitement about mentorship

• Candidates should be local (San Francisco Bay Area) or willing to relocate.
• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
• At least 2 years in a relevant legal operations role at a tech company or similar
• Cover letter is mandatory!

• Experience managing people
• Fluency in SQL and Python
• Familiarity with ticketing systems
