Job summary

The Red Hat Global Partner and Technical Enablement (GPTE) team is looking for a GPTE Enablement Architect with a focus on middleware, DevOps, and containers to join us in one of our Red Hat offices in the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. In this role, you will provide technical enablement and technical guidance to partners and Red Hat’s associates, both solutions architects and consultants. You'll use your deep knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Middleware, and related technologies to create enablement content, including practical labs, and deliver it to both partners and Red Hat’s associates. You will provide technical expertise to partner alliance management associates and partners through sales presentations and demonstrations of our offerings, proofs of concepts, online and in-person training, etc. As a GPTE Enablement Architect, you will also assist partners and internals in assessing potential applications of Red Hat’s solutions to meet their customer needs. You may be expected to assist partners in building out Red Hat container management infrastructures in a partner lab environment to demonstrate the feasibility of using Red Hat’s cloud technologies to partners’ customers.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop training content, including practical labs, for both online and in-person delivery
  • Deliver training for our offerings through instructor-led and online classes
  • Develop other enablement materials like demos and reference architectures
  • Create, automate, and support innovative infrastructure solutions for enablement needs
  • Attend, present, and provide support at Red Hat’s and partner events
  • Participate in team scrum and agile development and reporting methodologies
  • Assist partners with proofs of concepts involving Red Hat’s cloud offerings
  • Help escalate and resolve technical support issues when necessary

Required skills

  • 10+ years of IT industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Linux containers and container orchestration; Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift are a plus
  • 4+ years of experience with middleware
  • 2+ years of experience with application development languages and frameworks like Java, Node.js, Spring Boot, and similar
  • Knowledge of DevOps and agile methodologies, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), Jenkins, testing frameworks, and similar
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Knowledge of and ability to lead conversations about open source technologies and industry trends related to open source and the cloud marketplace
  • Excellent time management, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification or equal combination of skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%
  • Ability to work in a remote office environment
  • Experience teaching relevant IT technologies is a plus
  • Courseware development experience for relevant IT technologies is a plus
