Location: Combination of Office and Field based in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, CA

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for managing patient care and treatment in collaboration with the Psychiatrist and Primary Care Physician as part of an integrated care team.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Performs mental health assessments and preventative mental health measures within prescribed guidelines and physician instructions.
• Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
• Discusses case with integrated care team and Psychiatrist.
• Formulates and documents care plan in collaboration with integrated care team and Psychiatrist.
• Prescribes Psychotropic medication or other forms of treatment.

• Requires an MS in Nursing.
• 1 year of related clinical nurse practitioner experience.
• Current unrestricted RN license and NP license in the state of California is required.
• Psychiatric certification preferred.
• Experience with Geriatric patients preferred.
• Experience with integrated care preferred.
• For CareMore business units, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
