Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Middleware Solutions Architect to join us in Israel. In this role, you will create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with our customers. You will help our customers invest in solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio that will give them a competitive advantage. As a Senior Middleware Solutions Architect, you will support field sales account managers in managing large government accounts and businesses. You’ll need to apply your technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and ability to identify and create business solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level. You’ll also need to have excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat.

Primary job responsibilities

• Develop strategic relationships with Red Hat’s customers to become a trusted adviser for Red Hat’s solutions
• Discover and analyze customer business and technical needs
• Collaborate with the Sales and Technical Delivery teams to bring our customers the most efficient solutions
• Design, build, and present multiproduct solutions to customers
• Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex solutions to achieve sales quotas
• Help the Red Hat sales teams meet revenue goals, deployment, and service objectives while sustaining good relationships with our customers
• Support evaluations of our offerings and technical proofs of concepts
• Assist in responding to customer inquiries, including requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs)
• Work with the Engineering, Marketing, and Business teams on information launches for our offerings

Required skills

• Experience working as a sales engineer, consultant, IT architect, or equivalent supporting enterprise accounts
• Excellent presentation skills; demonstrated record of developing relationships at engineering and executive levels
• Ability to interpret customer business and technical needs
• Enthusiastic approach to building technical relationships with customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluent language skills in a second major European language are a plus
• Experience working with C-level executives
• Good documentation skills and presentation experience with mid to large-sized audiences
• Good knowledge of and experience with microservices architecture and containers platform
• Good understanding of industry trends and potential future directions
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
