Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join us in Madrid, Spain. In this role, you will handle relationships with major accounts within the retail vertical. You’ll help our customers and partners make business and IT transformations using our services and solutions. You'll be responsible for building new commercial relationships and expanding and improving the business we do with existing customers. As a Key Account Manager, you will also work to gain understanding of customer processes, needs, and challenges, articulating the value of Red Hat's solutions and how they can address customer needs.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Communicate Red Hat’s values and visions to the executive and management levels of customer organizations
  • Successfully sell solutions and services in the field
  • Expand existing accounts in Spain
  • Represent Red Hat to customers and customers to Red Hat in sales-related matters
  • Meet assigned sales quotas
  • Work to develop and expand a fixed set of named accounts
  • Lead a virtual sales team consisting of solutions architects, insides sales representatives, consultants, engagement managers, and Red Hat’s senior management
  • Collaborate with IBM sales counterparts to capitalize on potential business synergy

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience working in sales, leading large accounts in the retail sector in Spain
  • Background working in a multinational company (MNC)
  • Excellent record of working in software and services solutions sales in Spain
  • Demonstrated experience selling complex solutions to large organizations and multiple decision makers
  • Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Solid understanding of the companies and opportunities that exist in the region
  • Communication and technical skills that allow you to develop relationships at commercial and executive levels throughout various organizations
