Align is looking for an Engineer, Technology Business Resiliency for our Raleigh, NC location. The Engineer, Technology Business Resiliency should have exceptional skills with building and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery programs. This role will be part of Align goal to deliver our clear aligners (Invisalign ®) and 3D scanners (iTero ®) to our customers. In this role, you will...

This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Technology Risk & Resiliency Management, and will be responsible for supporting global enterprise-wide Business Resiliency program initiatives within the Information Security team under the Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance department. These initiatives include building and maintaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs and supporting the awareness and operation of the Technology Risk Management program.

All responsibilities require experience in tracking, reporting, metrics, and presentation skills to support the following initiatives within the global enterprise-wide Business Resiliency program to support Align in the event of a significant unplanned event:

  • Business Continuity: Conduct and maintain Business Impact Analysis (BIA) surveys across the enterprise to identify business processes and the associated criticality ranking.
  • Business Continuity: Drive the development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans and associated continuity strategies to support continued functioning of critical and high risk business processes.
  • Business Continuity: Ensure business teams conduct effective Business Continuity Plan exercises to support effective response including documenting results and tracking lessons learned.
  • Disaster Recovery: Based on the completed BIAs, assist with identification of Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of key technology supporting critical and high risk business processes.
  • Disaster Recovery: Facilitate conversations between technology and business leaders to identify a desired and actual RTO/RPO of key technology supporting critical and high risk business processes.
  • Disaster Recovery: Drive the development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery Plans and associated recovery strategies to supported continued functioning of technology.
  • Disaster Recovery: Ensure technology teams conduct effective Disaster Recovery testing to support effective response including documenting results and tracking lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with key partners in building a solid functioning Business Resiliency program across Align globally. This includes coordinating with Corporate Communications, Facilities, and Internal Audit.
  • Integrate with and support with other Technology Risk Management team initiatives and projects.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

In this role, you’ll need ...

Required:

·Bachelors is computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience

·5+ years’ experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Information Security, Audit and/or Risk Management

Preferred:

  • Experience across multiple global geographies
  • Experience in driving adoption and/or awareness of new programs
  • Professional certification such as CISA, CRISC, CIPP, CPA, and/or a certification from Business Continuity Institute/ Disaster Recovery Institute International
  • Demonstrated knowledge in applying frameworks such as ISO, NIST, and/or SOC control requirements
