E-commerce is exploding, and with it, parcel shipping is becoming a meaningful factor in a business' ability to succeed. Creating a compelling shipping experience for customers is hard but necessary. At Shippo, our goal is to level the playing field by providing businesses access to shipping tools and terms that would not be available to them otherwise. By lowering the barriers to shipping, businesses, marketplaces, and platforms are able to connect to multiple shipping carriers, get shipping rates, print labels, automate international documents, track shipments, and facilitate returns.
ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a well-rounded marketer and content creator to help us improve the quality and cadence of our marketing content across our channels. This high-impact role requires collaboration with several of our marketing functions, including product, social, content, and events.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the broader marketing team to build the Shippo story, brand and community
• Develop high-quality video and written content for our owned channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and more) targeted towards a variety of audiences.
• Meet the e-commerce and direct to consumer brands you love, and those you didn’t even know you needed
• Hone your content producing skills, spanning a range of mediums and topics
• Help identify exciting trends in existing, and new/emerging social media platforms
• Make positive, creative pieces of work you can be proud of
• Cover relevant and interesting topics facing e-commerce and direct to consumer creators today, like the future of creativity
  

REQUIREMENTS

• A go-getter with at least 3 years of experience in video content production, social media, design or design management. Email Marketing and Event Management experience are a plus!
• Content creation specifically for diverse social media platforms
• Storytelling and writing with humor and creativity
• Deep knowledge of internet culture and what it takes to be a creator
• Experience with digital advertising, especially around content creation and dynamic reporting is a plus!
• A wordsmith that can translate content across different audiences and channels with ease
• Strong project and time management: Able to deliver in a fast paced-environment without heavy oversight and willing to suggest creative ideas and innovate on plans.
• You thrive in an always-changing startup environment and you’re willing to lean-in, embrace chaos and lend a hand when needed. You’re excited about developing repeatable and actionable processes to support a fast-growing and professionalizing team

PROJECTS YOU MAY WORK ON

• Videos and testimonials capturing the experience of our customers and the great products they create and deliver using Shippo
• Developing:
• Content ideas around key calendar dates, including holidays and special occasions, but also key seasonal and date specific e-commerce content
• Content for case studies around Shippo’s partnerships and customer stories.
• Content for Shippo’s e-learning and webinar programs
• Cross-functional support for the marketing team producing collaborative content pieces, and engaging user ‘how-to’ and product value pieces
• Celebrating milestones and moments for Shippo like Shippo’s birthday and important company announcements
• Live content creation at Shippo events and trade-show experiences
