Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Investment Associate, you will provide administrative and sales support to one or more Financial Advisors (FA) to enhance the growth of their business. You will be actively involved in the solicitation and education of new clients and in the introduction of products and services. You may also have the opportunity to partner with assigned FA(s) to prospect for new clients using various techniques such as cold calling, asking for referrals, executing mailings and seminars, making presentations and networking in business-related forums.

What will you do?

  • Independently act with minimal supervision on the behalf of the assigned FA(s) in the ongoing development and maintenance of effective client relationships.
  • Provide a high level of quality service to clients by understanding their investment objectives, tolerance for risk, financial situation, and investment potential and by promptly responding to their needs.
  • Keep assigned FA(s) informed of all pertinent information and activity related to client accounts and transactions, including issues related to client suitability.
  • Enter trades in clients' accounts at FA’s or client’s request.
  • Research complex problems in client accounts. Proactively see them through to an effective and acceptable resolution for all parties concerned.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Series 7 and 66 or Series 63/65 licenses
  • Advanced understanding of the stock market, investments and retirement plans, fixed income products, equities, mutual funds, insurance and annuities
  • Advanced computer skills (including Microsoft Office)

Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to continually maintain and buidl relationships, being detail-oriented, possessing outstanding written and verbal communication and problem solving skills, and ability to navigate multiple demands in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
